Busy Weeks
This past week has been a good week. We began the week with two days of strategic planning, directed by Dave McNamara, who is a consultant for the automotive industry in Detroit and abroad. We learned many, many things about planning. We also discovered many areas that we need to improve on. It was exciting to see the consensus that existed among the people on our administrative team. We are very grateful for Dave's contributions to our ministry. Please pray that we will have wisdom and strength as week seek to grow as an organization.
On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, we had inservice with the teachers. We were able to emphasize our philosophy and many of our practices and procedures. It was particularly important to address these things with our new teachers. Classes begin on Monday. Our students are have already begun to arrive. Pray for safety in travel and that we would have a good enrollment: both in quality and quantity. If we hadto choose one, we would ask for a quality enrollment.
Today Susan and I will be driving up to McAllen, TX. We will be picking up Bro. Matt Williams tomorrow and returning to Monterrey. We will then begin our one week mini-conference with him. The themes of biblical servant leadership, being good friends, and using your influene for God are topics that our students will profit greatly from. Pray that God's Spirit will be working, that it won't be just a class.
On Friday, a group of 14 people from Inter-City Baptist will be arriving for a one week mission trip. Please pray that we will be able to minister effectively to these brothers and sisters. Also pray that this trip will be a profitable trip with regards to the work projects. The team will be splitting time between one of the mission churches and the school/church/university facilities.
ONE MORE THING: on Thursday night, while we were out at the mission in Santa Mónica, we saw a building (used to be a booze store) that is for sale. It is located right on the main road directly across from the main neighborhood park. The location is an excellent location. I am trying to contact the owner to see what price they are asking. We would appreciate your prayers in regards to that possibility.
