As you know, young children are constantly acquiring new skills and achieving new heights in their development. Aaron had a milestone this week as he lost his first tooth! He was very excited, and even more so when he was rewarded the next morning with money under his pillow (which he very skeptically allowed us to put there the night before). He has grown several inches, it seems, in the past few months, and is also doing very well in K5 learning to read.
Ana has also grown like a weed and is sort of learning to read--it just depends on her mood each day! She continues to use David as her number one subject in her "queendom." He's not very obedient, of course, but that doesn't seem to deter her at all.
David amazes us every day with the new words and sometimes even sentences that he tries to say. He "prays" for meals, asks for certain toys, books, and videos by name, and tells us he wants his diaper changed. But singing is an all-time favorite for sure. A friend recently sent the book "Old McDonald Has a Farm" and he has fallen in love with it and the song. Here is a sample for you to see. Enjoy!
